Please Don’t Dye

When psychologist and mother Rebecca Bevans discovers common food dyes were the root cause of her son's suicidal ideations, she jumps into the world of food science to discover the dangerous side effects of the ingredients we eat everyday in America.

Please Don’t Dye is a documentary concept that spawned from the mind of Will during 2020; one night while binging Albanese gummy worms he stopped and wondered what was in these rainbow colored treats… He stepped into an internet wormhole, into the world of artificial food dyes and their health risks. He stumbled upon a TedTalk from Rebecca Bevans sharing this story of how her 7 year old son had suicidal ideations and her and her husband had figured out that it was all from food dyes that he was eating.

Funding passion projects like this is one of the hardest things. We were lucky enough to raise some funds to get the production off the ground. Production on this documentary began in 2023 and continued on into 2024.

During production on this film artificial food dyes have splashed into the news and it’s become somewhat of a hot subject making the timing quite topical for a film like this.

This film is still in post and we have hopes that it will do well in the festival circuit!
